Where to watch State of Origin in Bondi

Tonight’s State of Origin game three clash between New South Wales and Queensland is set to be a nail biter. With one win apiece it’s the decider, so whether you’re going for the Blues or Maroons, wear your colours with pride and head to the boozer to watch this thrilling final match unfold. Here are my top picks for where to watch Origin in Bondi. Game on!

Beach Road Hotel
71 Beach Road, Bondi Beach

The Beachy is always a go-to venue to watch live sporting events and because of this it tends to get pretty packed. But if it’s atmosphere you’re after, plus five big screens, food all night and plenty of beer choices, then the Beach Road Hotel is the spot for you. Plus, upstairs is open til late with live music and DJs if you’re keen to kick on afterwards.

The Bucket List
Shop 1, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Bondi Beach

Watch the ultimate sporting rivalry right by the iconic Bondi sands with ocean views aplenty. The Bucket List has three big screens, $5 Hahn Super Drys, $15 jugs of sangria, $3 sliders and $15 mussels for tonight’s decider match. Coverage starts at 7.30pm with kick-off at 8pm. Get in early to secure a spot by the fire.

North Bondi RSL
118-120 Ramsgate Ave, North Bondi

The RSL is an institution for watching sporting events, plus tonight there are $10 steak dinners for members and a ‘pass the footy’ comp. So gather your pals and enjoy the game on the biggest screen in Bondi*.

*Truth is, I haven’t actually measured it, but it is pretty damn huge!

Bondi Bowling Club
1 Warners Ave, North Bondi

It’s far too chilly for bowls, but park your bum next to the fire at the bowlo and watch the game on one of the multiple screens while dining on its delicious ‘classics’ meals, which are just 12 bucks instead of the usual $18 tonight. Plus there’s a host of beers on tap to wet your whistle.

Ravesi’s
118 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach

There’ll be good vibes aplenty tonight with three screens showing the big game, plus a selection of winter meals at $15 a pop and $5 Hahn Super Drys. And if you have a few too many you can always book a room in the hotel upstairs. Result!
